FAQ
What is the first step to start my project?
The first step is for our estimator to review your plans and prepare an initial sketch and quotation. This provides a clear starting point for the scope and budget of your project.
If you would like to explore the design in greater detail before committing, we also offer a Concept Package to help you visualise the space.
Once you are ready to proceed, a signed quotation and a 5% deposit (minimum $1,000) is required to secure your project within our production schedule.
What is a Concept Package?
Our Concept Package is designed for clients who would like to fully explore their space before committing to the build.
The package includes up to 20 hours of interior design time, during which our designer will develop layouts, ideas, and visual concepts to bring your vision to life.
At the end of the process you will receive the final concept design, which is yours to keep. There is no obligation to proceed with the build once the drawings are supplied.
Concept Packages start from a minimum of $2,000, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
If you choose to move forward with us, the Concept Package fee will be credited toward your final project invoice.
Should additional design time be required beyond the initial 20 hours, it will be charged at $100 per hour plus GST.
How does the design and selection process work?
Once your deposit has been received, our interior designer will begin preparing detailed plans for your space.
You will then be invited to visit our showroom to finalise materials, finishes, and hardware selections. A final 3D concept design will be presented for your review and approval before moving into production.
What happens during a “check measure”?
A member of our drafting team will attend your site to verify all measurements before manufacturing begins. This process ensures complete accuracy and allows us to confirm that every element of the design will fit perfectly within your space.
Can I see my joinery before it is installed?
Yes. All joinery is fully assembled in our factory prior to installation.
We invite you to inspect your completed joinery to ensure everything meets your expectations. At this stage, any final adjustments such as handles or hardware selections can still be discussed if required.
What should I expect during the installation phase?
Our production manager will provide an installation schedule and an indicative start date.
In most cases, existing joinery is removed the day prior to installation. Our in-house installation team then completes the installation while aiming to minimise disruption within your home.
How long does stone installation take?
Stone installation is completed in two stages to ensure a flawless result.
Once the joinery has been installed, the stone is measured on-site to capture precise dimensions. Please allow approximately three weeks for fabrication and final installation of the stone surfaces.
What are your payment terms?
Our standard payment structure is as follows:
-
5% deposit (minimum $1,000) to secure your project
-
45% payment once production drawings are approved
-
40% payment after you inspect your factory-completed joinery
- Final 10% payment due upon completion of installation
Are installation dates guaranteed?
All timeframes provided are indicative only. Lead times can vary depending on supplier stock, material availability, and project scheduling. Dates should be used as a guide when planning surrounding works.
Do you work with builders, architects, and interior designers?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with builders, architects, and interior designers to deliver custom joinery that aligns with the broader vision of a project.
Whether you already have a full design team or require guidance through the design process, we are experienced in working collaboratively to achieve a seamless result.
What areas of the home do you design and build joinery for?
While kitchens are often the centrepiece of the home, we design and manufacture custom joinery throughout the entire house.
This can include:
-
Kitchens
-
Butlers pantries
-
Laundries
-
Wardrobes and walk-in robes
-
Bathroom vanities
-
Entertainment units
-
Home offices
-
Bars and feature cabinetry
Every piece is designed specifically for your space to ensure a cohesive and functional result.
Do you provide quotes from plans?
Yes. We are happy to review architectural plans, builder drawings, or inspiration images to prepare an initial estimate. This helps provide an indicative budget before moving into the detailed design phase.
If more detailed design development is required, our Concept Package allows us to explore layouts and ideas in greater depth.
Can you match existing joinery in my home?
In many cases, yes. We can often match colours, finishes, and profiles to existing joinery to maintain consistency throughout your home.
If an exact match is not possible due to discontinued materials or changes in finishes, we will recommend the closest alternative.
Do you manufacture the joinery locally?
Yes. All joinery is manufactured in our factory, allowing us to maintain strict quality control throughout the production process.
Each piece is carefully assembled and checked prior to installation to ensure a precise fit and high-quality finish.
